This 15 day Egypt travel package will take you to see the top sights in Cairo; the Pyramids of Giza, The Egyptian Museum, Dahshur Bent Pyramid, Saqqara and Memphis, Day trip to Alexandria as well as Islamic and Coptic Cairo historical places.

Fly from Cairo to Aswan to discover tops historical places; the Philae temple, the unfinished obelisk and Aswan high Dam as well as to enjoy Felucca (Lateen sail) on the Nile for almost 1 hour. Next to visit the great Abu Simbel temples and then embark your Nile Cruise for a 4-day Nile cruise tour on the Nile. Enjoy the sightseeing along the Nile Cruise journey; Kom-ombo, Edfu, the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, Karnak, Luxor Temple and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Nile Valley. Enjoy two night stay in Luxor and explore more sights on offer as well as Dendera and Abydos famous temples. Or explore the valley of the Nobles, workers and Habu temple of King Ramses III.

Afterwards, transfer to relax on the red sea Hurghada beautiful sandy beaches at an All Inclusive basis, whether it be pampering yourself with a spa, chilling by the pool, snorkeling, scuba diving, Desert Safari and other waters ports options are available and you can extend your stay here if you wish, before flying to Cairo and departure

Day 1: Arrive Into Cairo, Transfer To Hotel

Welcome to Egypt, one of the world’s greatest ancient civilizations. On arrival, we will meet & greet you and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to settle into your hotel and relax after your journey.

Day 2: Tour To The Pyramids Of Giza, Sphinx, The Egyptian Museum

After breakfast at your hotel, at 08:00 am your Egyptologist tour guide will pick you up from your hotel Lobby and drive to visit the Pyramids of Giza. Enjoy a fascinating introduction to each of the three pyramids of Cheops, Khafre and Menkaure. Whilst here, you will have time to visit inside the pyramids (extra ticket on spot). Drive to the best panoramic photo spot to take a memorable picture and ride camel at the pyramids area (optional). Afterwards, drive to visit the Valley Temple of Khafre and the great Sphinx.

Continue to the famous Egyptian Museum, home to an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian artefacts. Almost 120,000 items, covering 5,000 years of Egypt’s past. The Egyptian Museum include some 1,700 items from the tomb of Tutankhamen discovered in the Valley of the Kings in Luxor, including the solid-gold mask that covered the pharaoh’s head. Your Private tour guide will introduce you to the museum’s most important pieces before you have free time to explore at leisure. Whilst here, you will have time to visit The Royal Mummies Hall (extra ticket on spot) After finished, transfer to your hotel to relax .

Day 3: Tour To Dahshur, Memphis And Saqqara Necropolis

After breakfast, start to visit the Dahshur Bent Pyramid and Red Pyramids. The Bent Pyramid was built under the Pharaoh Sneferu (2600 BC). A unique example of early pyramid development in Egypt, it is one of the most visited burial grounds in ancient Egypt consisting of a number of pyramids of King Sneferu. Archaeologists now believe that the Bent Pyramid represents a transitional form between step-sided (Step Pyramid) and smooth-sided pyramids (Perfect pyramid).

Proceed to Memphis, the capital of ancient Egypt, was founded by the pharaoh Menes around 3000 B.C. The site is open to the public as an open-air museum where you can explore the colossal statue of Ramses II and the great Alabaster Sphinx.

Continue to Saqqara, to visit the Step Pyramid, the oldest complete stone building complex known in history was built by King Djoser. The step pyramid, built during the Third Dynasty (around 2700BC). Saqqara, the ancient burial ground in Egypt, serving as the necropolis for the Ancient Egyptian capital, Memphis. After finished, transfer to your hotel to relax.

Day 4: Alexandria Day Trip

After breakfast, drive (almost 3 hours) to Alexandria, the largest Mediterranean coastal city in Egypt, was founded by Alexandria the great in 331 BC. Alexandria was the setting for the stormy love story between Julius Caesar, Cleopatra, and Marc Antony.

On arrival, head to the mysteries Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, On arrival, head to the mysteries Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, a burial site consist of three levels cut through solid rock.

Move to Pompey’s pillar (Column of Diocletian), the largest Roman triumphal column stands over 26 meters high (85 feet), made of a single piece of Aswan granite. Explore the remains of a Serapium, a temple of the Graeco-Egyptian deity Serapis. As well as number of statues, artifacts.

Drive to visit the Roman Amphitheater, dating from the 2nd century A.D. It is a small amphitheater that was used by the Romans for poetry and music. On the site, other ruins have also been excavated including a bath house and a villa with some well-preserved mosaics.

Continue to the Citadel of Qaitbay, located on the Mediterranean Sea coast. It was established in 1477 AD by Sultan Al-Ashraf Qa’it Bay. The Citadel was erected on the exact site of the famous Lighthouse of Alexandria, which was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Take some time to stroll along the Corniche and around Fort Qaitbey to enjoy the fresh Mediterranean air. Enjoy Lunch at a good quality Fish Market local restaurant.

Afterwards, stop by the strikingly modern Bibliotheca Alexandrina, inspired by the original great library of Alexandria and built to hold over eight million books . After finished, enjoy a relaxing drive back to your hotel in Cairo and free time to relax.

Day 5: Tour To Islamic And Coptic Cairo / Fly To Aswan

Check out after breakfast, then drive to visit the Citadel of Cairo, is a medieval Islamic-era fortification, built by Salah ad-Din (Saladin) and further developed by subsequent Egyptian rulers. You will visit the late 19th century Mosque of Muhammad Ali, with its twin Ottoman-style minarets, the mosque design is copied from the famous Blue Mosque of Sultan Ahmed in Istanbul.

Proceed to visit Coptic Cairo, it is unique area that has a concentration of Christian churches. The most remarkable is the hanging church, the site of Saints Sergius and Bacchus Church (Abu Serga) and also you can visit Ben Ezra Synagogue, where the box of Baby Moses was found and taken by the wife of the pharaoh. All were built on the ancient Roman Babylon fort.

Continue al El Moez Street in Islamic Cairo. Walking along El-Moez Street, you will be fascinated by the historic atmosphere of Islamic art carved into the historic houses and mosques. You will also find the old cafés, souvenir shops, food and sweets sold from kiosks and carts. You will arrive Khan el-Khalili, Cairo’s main attractions for tourists and Egyptians alike. After Lunch at good quality local restaurant, you will drive to Cairo airport to fly to Aswan. On arrival, pick up and transfer to your hotel, free time to relax and & overnight.

Day 6: Aswan Sightseeing Excursions / Felucca Ride

After breakfast, your tour guide will pick you up and transfer to visit the unfinished obelisk, this incomplete artifact shows the progress of stone-working techniques, with marks from workers tools still clearly visible as well as ochre-colored lines marking where they were working.

Proceed to visit the Aswan high Dam, a rockfill dam built across the Nile River between 1960 and 1970 to control the Nile Floods and produce electricity.

Continue to visit Philae Temple Island, located between the old Aswan Dam and the Aswan High Dam near the first Cataract on the Nile River. The main Temple was sacred to the goddess Isis, completed by Ptolemy II Philadelphus (reigned 285–246 BC). The Temple of Isis continued to flourish during Roman times and was not closed until the reign of Justinian I (527–565 AD).

After Lunch at good quality local restaurant, you will sail on a traditional felucca ride on the Nile River. Enjoy a fantastic sailing experience as you sail around Elephantine Island and visit the famous Botanical Gardens in Aswan.

After finished, transfer to your hotel to relax

Day 7: Abu Simbel Temples / Nile Cruise

Early in the morning, check out of your hotel (breakfast Boxes will be ready at the hotel reception) and drive for almost 3 hours to explore one of the masterpieces of ancient Egypt, the temples of Abu Simbel were constructed by King Ramses II, the most powerful king of Egypt’s 19th dynasty. Ramses’ reign began a golden age in Egypt, on the western bank of Lake Nasser in 1244 B.C.

In 1960, the executive committee of UNESCO launched its International Campaign to Save the Temples of Abu Simbel from the rising waters of the Nile River caused by erection of the Aswan High Dam. The temples were dismantled, transferred and rebuilt on a higher hill.

Once arriving on site, your guide will give you a history of the temple. Afterwards, take time to marvel at the exquisite detail as you wander through the temples yourself. Don’t forget to take pictures! You will then transferred back to your Nile Cruise in Aswan and enjoy Lunch on board and free time to relax.

Day 8: Cruise The Nile River / Kom-Ombo Temple

Today, you will start cruising slowly downwards to the double temple of Kom ombo. Unlike most ancient Egyptian temples, is dedicated to two gods, the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Haroeris (known as Horus the elder). The temple is symmetrical with its own halls, anti-chamber and chapels mirroring on another in dedication to each god. You will then visit the crocodile mummies museum in your return way to the Nile Cruise, free time to relax and enjoy sailing along the Nile to Edfu

Day 9: Edfu Temple / Cruise The Nile River, Luxor

Today you will visit the stunning Temple of Horus in Edfu, one of the best preserved temples in Egypt. The temple was built in the Ptolemaic Kingdom between 237 and 57 BC. The temple is dedicated to Horus, the son of Isis and Osiris. With its roof intact, its extravagant design and sheer size is an indication of the country’s prosperity at the time

Return to your cruise boat and begin our cruise downstream along the Nile to Luxor, passing through the Esna Locks. It is common to have to queue to proceed through the lock, however this is a great opportunity to check out the process from deck, and listen to the shouts of the many captains as they navigate their way through the various small boats of merchants selling their wares. Arrive to Luxor in the afternoon, free time to relax .

Day 10: Nile Cruise / Luxor West Bank Tour

Disembarkation after breakfast, then drive to the west bank of Luxor, you will get an up-close view of two gigantic statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, better known as the Colossi of Memnon

Proceed to visit one of the most famous archeological sites in the world, the remote and barren Valley of the Kings, used for royal burials for nearly 500 years from 1550 to 1080BC. It was here that the bodies of great pharaohs such as Ramses II and Thutmose III were once laid to rest and where the mummified remains of the boy king Tutankhamun are still on display. Along the walls of the tombs, inscriptions from the Book of the Dead provided instructions on how the pharaohs could safely journey through underworld and avoid the dangers that lay on the way. Only a handful of the most interesting tombs are open to visitors at any given time. Whilst here, you will have time to visit King Tutankhamun tomb (Extra ticket on spot).

Continue to visit the Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahri. Hatshepsut is considered by historians to have been one of the most successful rulers of ancient Egypt. Both the setting and the construction of her temple make it unique among the landmarks of Egypt; built into the face of steep cliffs at the Mountain.

After finished, transfer to your hotel in Luxor and relax in the beautiful gardens of your hotel and free time to relax or enjoy a dip in the hotel swimming pool, catch up on some reading or simply enjoy the Nile Valley view and explore the city of Luxor at leisure

Day 11: Karnak & Luxor Temples / Hotel In Luxor

After breakfast, you will drive to Luxor on the east bank of the Nile. Start by the Karnak Temple, the largest religious temple complex built in Egypt. Karnak complex is composed of three main temples, smaller enclosed temples and several outer temples. The largest of these is dedicated to Amun-Re. Enter the main compound, the Precinct of Amun, through the Great Court, and continue on to the dazzling Great Hypostyle Hall, an imposing forest of 134 enormous sandstone columns in the form of papyrus stalks. After finished, enjoy free time at leisure

Continue to visit Luxor temple, you will enter the temple through the great pylon, where two enormous statues of Ramses II still stand, along with a pink granite obelisk, its mate stands in the Place de la Concorde in Paris, France. Continue on to an enormous interior courtyard, where the Mosque of Abu Haggag once stood atop the ruins of the temple. At the rear of the temple is the Sun Court of Amenhotep III, as well as the Bark Shrine that was rebuilt by Alexander the Great (who is depicted bare-chested on the walls). After finished, transfer to your hotel in Luxor and free time to relax.

Day 12: Transfer To Hurghada / Hurghada Resort

Check out after breakfast, then you will be transfer from Luxor to Hurghada (almost 4 hours drive), where we check into your Red Sea Resort. Your stay here is on a ‘soft all inclusive’ basis, with all meals, soft drinks and snacks included but not alcoholic beverages.

Day 13: Red Sea At Hurghada, Free Day

Your day is free today to relax on the beach or in the hotel swimming pool. Sunbathe, swim in the crystal waters or enjoy extra tours on offer dolphin house snorkeling trip in Hurghada or in the evening: Alf Leila Wa Leila Show in Hurghada

Day 14: Red Sea At Hurghada, Free Day

Your day is free today to relax on the beach or in the hotel swimming pool. Sunbathe, swim in the crystal waters or enjoy extra tours on offer Hurghada Desert Safari by Jeep.

Day 15: Hurghada To Cairo / Final Departure

After breakfast, there are no activities planned for today and you are able to depart your accommodation at any time after check-out (at 12:00pm). You will be transferred to Hurghada airport for your flight from Hurghada to Cairo to connect with your international departure flight. If you would like to spend some more time in Egypt, we’ll be happy to book additional accommodation for you (subject to availability).
